Sport and the opportunities it provides in and out of the classroom are highly valued at St Paul’s College.

For a small school a wide range of sporting opportunities are available for students at both participation and elite levels. It is anticipated that students participate in school sport in some way during the school year, whether by participation in a team or assisting with coaching or managing a school team.

Summer and winter code ‘sign-up days’ are held pre-season and students should listen to the daily notices at assembly for these. The sports office is open daily to assist students with inquiries.

Each sport code is assigned a Teacher-in-Charge who can provide assistance with your inquiries while each team is allocated a coach and manager who ensure the smooth running and organisation of their team. They all, in turn, report to the Director of Sport.

Students should also listen to the school daily notices for sign-up days and attend these to register their interest.

At sign-up days, students receive a permission slip and a 'Code of Ethics'. Both must be signed and returned to the school office with the team fee to confirm their participation.

St Paul's College is a member of ASSHA (The Auckland Secondary Schools Heads Association Inc. (operating as ASB College Sport). College Sport deliver 45 different sporting codes per year, covering approximately 65,000 students aged between 11 – 19.

Our Sports Coordinator or Sports Office is the first place to visit for any student inquiries about participating in a sports team.
