St Paul's has a major focus on writing and building the strengths and talents of every student. As well as the senior and junior writing cups, there are many opportunities for students to demonstrate their skills. Each year selected boys are involved in seminars run as part of the Readers and Writers festival. Our goal is that the talents of every enthusiastic writer will be developed during his time at the College.

Public Speaking

Students at every level are involved in Speech Competitions as part of their English programme. Senior students are responsible for leading assembly liturgy each day and the prefects MC senior prizegiving. Selected students have the opportunity to participate in external competitions, including the Pompallier Shield contested by 12 Catholic schools.

Musical and drama productions are part of all courses in the Year 7-13 English programme. There is also a day of performance at our annual Marist day concert which is a wonderful way for students to showcase their musical and acting abilities.
