Rocket lab was a pretty eye opening experience, I was so used to the expression ‘This isn’t rocket science‘ and I thought only the smartest people in the world built rockets, but when I visited Rocket Lab I was surprised that the people who worked there were plumbers, engineers, electricians etc (not saying they’re not smart but I thought people like Albert Einstein were working there). I was really surprised by that and I’m really happy that I got to experience it, especially because I heard we were the first in history to go in. #HistoryMakers

- Ease into uni and get a head-start on their studies by earning credits.
- Meet their new university whānau in a close knit environment.
- Gain valuable skills to achieve their study and career goals.
- Take part in fun team activities that introduce them to uni life.
Students taking part in Summer Programmes can also get a taste of undergraduate life in Auckland city by applying for an accommodation scholarship to live on campus for free this summer. Applications are open until Thursday 27 October.
The programme options include:
- Summer Start: for all school leavers including international students
- UniBound: for Pacific students
- Tōia ki Waipapa: for Māori students

Supporting people with disabilities into adulthood East/Central Auckland Tuesday 1 November 10am-12pm via zoom
We are holding our Annual East/Central Auckland Transition Collaboration Meeting on the 1 November, 10am-12pm and invite you all to attend. This invite is for all schools, education facilities, tertiary, families, whanau, providers who work with people who have disabilities.
We have been running this for the last 5 years and comes from a question from families ‘why aren't organisations working better with us?’ This collaboration opportunity was created so everyone can connect, understand, and become aware of what is available for all. Even if you didn't attend any of the previous meetings please come along – you are very welcome - as we want to capture the voice of as many people as possible. If you cannot attend, please send someone who can share your message and story.
