Brian Stephenson was a member of the St Paul’s College community for 36 years. It was with a heavy heart that we received word of his passing on the 12th of November.
He started at St Paul’s in 1978 until his retirement in 2014. Over those years he was HOD of Science and manager and coach to many sports teams. None more so than his skills and talents as the manager of the school's championship winning 1st XIII rugby league teams over those years.
Brian will be remembered for his faithful service to this community, the relationships he made with past and present staff, as well as students. He was always sharp with his comebacks and the students in his classes will never forget his smile and way to get the best out of them. The SPL Old Boys group on Facebook has been flooded with comments and memories about Mr Stephenson wishing his wife and family nothing but love and prayers. Upon his retirement he was given the opportunity to share a bit of his story of his time. CLICK HERE TO READ.
On behalf of those who have come before and have moved on, the St Paul’s College community would like to thank Mr Brian Stephenson for his spirit and service to building our young men of tomorrow. To Theresa, Gabrielle, Mike, Olive and Marlo, we ask our Lord’s blessings. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May he rest in peace. Amen.
