On Friday 9 June we celebrated our founder’s day, Marcellin Champagnat, with a Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral. We were privileged to have Bishop Steve Lowe as well as Pa Peter Tipene, our School Chaplain celebrate the Eucharist.
It was a solemn celebration, with the commissioning of Special Character roles – extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, altar servers, student sacristans as well as students taking part in the Sacramental Programme, were all blessed and given badges. Three new prefects were also inducted: Dominic Calvert-Smith, Nathan David, and Talifekau Sosefo.
After Mass we went to Aotea Square, where we had a meal and then off to the movies. A really memorable day for both staff as well as students.
