Last week we celebrated five young men receiving the Sacrament of Baptism as part of their Sacramental Programme journey. Joseph Samuels, Pharrell Hughes, Dayton Waller, Kainen Fuimaono and Preston Etuale Faalau all became Christians, supported by their whānau and the whole College. As is our custom, the ceremony was followed by light refreshments for parents, godparents and the baptised. It was special to see our young men taking this significant step in their faith journey, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to flourish in the Sacramental Programme.
The ceremony was jointly celebrated by our departing Chaplain, Pā Peter Tipene, and his replacement, Fr Glenford Lowe. It was sad to see Pā Peter's time with us come to an end. He has greatly blessed us with his organisation, foresight and investment in our College spirit. That being said, we look forward to benefiting from the wisdom and experience of Fr Lowe as he settles into life in Auckland.
