We warmly welcomed Br Angel Diego and Br Peter Horide to St Paul’s College on Monday 21 August 2023. Br Diego is a Marist Brother who is visiting from Rome and he is the Director of the Secretariat for Solidarity. Br Peter Horide heads the Marist Brothers in New Zealand.

The Secretariat is a structure created in 2019 by the Marist Institute to encourage, coordinate and strengthen solidarity throughout the Marist world. This Bureau works mainly in the areas of Education in Solidarity, Children’s Rights and Ecology, not forgetting other fields such as Social Work, Project Development, Refugees, Immigrant and Indigenous Peoples.

Br Diego wanted to visit St Paul’s College to meet our young men and teachers and spend some time here. We were delighted that he was able to join us at the college.
