Athletics Day this year was held on Friday 4 March here on school grounds. Students competed in 800m, 100m, Shot Putt, Discus and Relays.
The participation from the students was exemplary and there were some notable performances in Shot Putt with Richard Faleono, Year 13, from Aquinas throwing 13.60m and Albert Balchin, Year 10, from Xavier throwing 33m in the Discus.
Tre'Vahn Dave, Year 10, from Champagnat was our fastest over 100m with a time of 12.30 seconds and Year 9 Tane Keereweer-Taia from Xavier was quickest around the 800m track with a time of 2m 40s.
I would also like to acknowledge our top house point scorers across all events:
- Jett Nash - Lavalla - 75 points
- Tane Keereweer-Taia - Xavier and Giovanni Meisake Falealeniu - Lavalla - 60 points
- Preston-David Stanley - Champagnat - 55 points

I would like to thank the PE Department for their hard work in the planning and execution of the day and to all of the staff who supported our students by encouraging and taking part with them.
The staff relay team have already began their training program to go for gold in 2023.
