Last week we celebrated ‘Epetoma o te reo Māori Kūki ‘Āirani (Cook Islands Language Week). The theme for this year is “Ātuitui’ia au ki te Oneone o tōku ‘Ui Tupuna” which means “Connect me to the soil of my ancestors.” Below is a video of Year 7 student Christian Fa'aui presenting his speech on Cook Islands language and the importance of the theme.
