Telecast on Shine TV – Sunday 20 February 2022 at 2.00pm
Last week St Paul's College celebrated our Inaugural Mass for 2022, and despite an array of logistical challenges in the lead-up, it was very successful. Unfortunately, due to being in the 'red light setting', we were unable to have any singing in the chapel. Thankfully, our sensational mass band, put together by Mr Stanbridge and led by Viliami Va'ai-Tupa'i, was able to provide instrumental pieces within the Mass. There were comments from numerous viewers that the band did so well, that you almost didn't notice the absence of voices.
Monsignor Bernard Kiely was kind enough to celebrate Mass for us, and spoke wonderfully to our young men about leadership, drawing their attention to the elements of social justice present in the gospel reading from Luke. The Mass was attended by our Year 12 and 13 students and livestreamed to the rest of the college in their home rooms as well as to the wider St Paul’s Community. We are grateful to Monsignor Kiely for this privilege and to Shine TV for livestreaming the Mass for us. The Mass will be telecast on Shine TV on Sunday 20 February 2022 at 2.00pm.
- As we always do at our Inaugural Mass, the Special Character, Eucharistic Ministers, and additional Prefects were announced in the liturgy. Special congratulations go out to all those young men appointed to these positions in 2022.
