Welcome to Term 2
Welcome back to another term of music at St Paul's College. I hope you all enjoyed hearing your son practice his instrument every day over the holidays.
A reminder that itinerant music lessons are all on as per the timetable, which your son can access through his instrumental Google Classroom, as well as on the music room notice board at school. Thank you in advance for helping your son to be prepared for his lesson by having the appropriate equipment with him on the day/s he needs it.
With May being NZ Music Month, it is always good to take a look at local artists who inspire and encourage our young musicians. One of my favourite local singer/songwriters is 'Teeks'. He, along with so many great songwriters are great role models for our young men as they find their own way as NZ's emerging music artists. Who knows, we might just have the next 'Teeks' here at St Paul's College!
Have a listen to "Te Ahi Kai Pō", performed live at the Auckland Town Hall. I encourage our young men to write songs in any language, as well as on any topic which is relevant to them at the time.
