Induction Camp Week

The Services Academy is off to a great start in 2022 where students have been working hard on their strength and conditioning, teamwork, NCEA credits and more. Due to the Omicron outbreak, the usual two week induction camp was cancelled, a disappointing start to the year for our students but not to get stuck on something we couldn't control, we adapted - we organised alternative events: a confidence course, inter-school sports day, high ropes and more. I was so impressed over the week at the positive attitude of these young men. Walking tightropes (safely strapped in of course!) 50 metres above the ground is not for the faint-hearted. Our students were courageous in their approach to this and many other tasks across the four days. I look forward to seeing this group develop both in and out of the classroom over Terms 2, 3 and 4.
