As  part of our Tongan Language week celebrations, the Tongan leaders and prefect team prepared and served a Tongan feast for the staff. 

Nikola Tupou said the prayer and blessed the food. Maedana Maloni (Year 13, 2019 ) was in charge in the kitchen. He and Simeoni Sosefo cooked traditional food Lu sipi, Puaka tunu, Otai,manioke, siane, and koko laisa .

"The theme for Tonga language week is "Fakakoloa ‘o Aotearoa ‘aki ‘a e Lotu Mo’oni" which in English means "Enriching Aotearoa New Zealand through Prayer and Faith". Each year a different theme is used to promote the richness of the Tonga language and culture with the Tongan community but also all New Zealanders."
