A visit to Al-Masjid Al-Jamie Mosque in Ponsonby.

On Wednesday 16th June, Mr Schryvers' Year 12 Religious Education class visited our local Ponsonby (Al-Masjid Al-Jamie) Mosque as part of their 'World Religions' topic. They were graciously hosted by Bilal and his team, who gave the boys an introduction to muslim life and prayer at the mosque. They also answered the students' questions about Islam, which were many and varied. Much to their surprise, the mosque treated the class to a morning tea and a warm send-off, with an open invitation back to visit whenever we wanted.
