Year 7 & 8 News week ending 6 November 2020
On Friday 30th of October the year 7 & 8 students held a cultural food day. Students and parents were asked to prepare a dish from their families cultural background. We then sold plates to students and they could then walk around the hall selecting food from the 11 stalls we had.
The event was held so that we could celebrate the vast array of cultures we have in our intermediate department, it was also a great way to fundraise for a year 7 & 8 event towards the end of the year. Mrs Tagaloa was the Teacher in Charge and organised the day brilliantly, not only organising the food stalls but also the recycling of the rubbish generated from the event.
We were overwhelmed by the amount of parental support and humbled by the effort our parents put in to help make this event such a huge success. The event emphasized the fact that we have the best families and they are so supportive of their sons and our great school.
Thank you all

Dean of Year 7 & 8
